Unit Description
The School Clinic is a facility that intends to provide health and medical services where students and school personnel are attended and catered to when basic and simple treatment is needed. It is not equipped to perform special procedures that are done in a Hospital setting.
Unit Basic Function
The School Clinic provides initial treatment for diseases and emergency situations that may affect the well-being of students and other school personnel that may ensue in the school campus e.g fever, stomachaches, toothaches, headaches, wounds, acute musculoskeletal injuries etc. It also provides Health education, monitoring and ensures Health related programs.

The DCC Health Service aims that every students and school personnel will be healthy and safe in achieving their goal every day.
Mission
The DCC Health Service is concerned with the well-being of students and school personnel and is intended to provide basic health and medical care for students and school personnel directed at emergency situations e.g wounds, burns, acute musculo-skeletal injuries and initial treatment for diseases that may occur inside the campus e.g fever, headache etc. It also ensures Health programs that is systematic and comprehensive.
Goals
To achieve its mission, the DCC Health Service aims to:
- Provides a service for dealing with medical situations.
- Provides services for screening and immunization.
- Secure the health, safety and welfare of employees and other stakeholders at work and the whole school environment.
- Identifying and responding to students’ health concerns and problems.
- Promote a healthful and safe environment that facilitates learning and school personnel’s working ability and functional capacity.
