The library is the heart of every institution. It is the place where the teaching and learning process are effectively enhanced and aptly complemented through the use of books, periodicals and audio-visual resources. It is an intellectual center of the school – a place for research, thought and reflection. It significantly plays an indispensable role in accomplishing the school mission.

The DCC library is maintained to support the instructional information and recreational reading needs of the school community. A wide range of materials, equipment and services is made available to support and enrich the different programs offered by the school. In addition to the general books collections, the library also provides current and back issues of periodicals, DVDs, CDs, Videos and other audio-visual materials and equipment. Furthermore, an internet workstation is available for students to explore the world of information superhighway.

The DCC LRC aspires to provide excellent services and resources that would develop the life-long learning experiences of the institution and to support and enhance the academic needs of the present and incoming curricular programs of Davao Central College to achieve quality education.

The DCC LRC mission is to provide dynamic and quality information resources and services to support teaching, learning and research needs of the institution.

1. To develop collections which support, enrich and satisfy the curricula and research needs of users
2. To provide reference and research services by a variety of means, including printed materials and electronic resources
3. To encourage users to utilize the library collections and its facilities by the academic community
4. To provide effective and efficient bibliographic guides to the contents of the collection
5. To investigate the changing educational needs of the community thus providing access to information, programs and services
